While living in Southern California in the early 80s, Leo created many paintings for the West Coast market.  This particular one of Miles Davis, one of Leo's favorite jazz artists (among many others who played Bebop, Cool Jazz, and Hard Bop), became emblematic of that time of Leo's life.  A few years later, another work of Leo's was prominently featured as the stage backdrop for Miles Davis when he received the 1990 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.  We love the energy of this work!

  • The art is printed on watercolor paper with archival inks.  The Estate publication is not a poster.  We have sized it to 19 x 27 inches.  Leo's signature is featured prominently at the bottom and, as a jazz musician told me recently:  "His signature is a work of art in itself!"

As with all of Leo's prints since his passing, it will be embossed with a seal from his Estate and Meiersdorff Enterprises.  The watermark will not appear on the art.
